General Terms & Conditions
1. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies, all products are supplied on the following conditions to the exclusion of any terms or conditions stipulated by the Customer and or any representations, warranties or communications not expressly incorporated.
2. All transactions are strictly “Cash on delivery” unless previous written arrangements are made with Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies.
3. All goods remain the property of Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies until paid for in full.
4. Cheques shall not be regarded as payment until cleared by the customer’s bank.
5. Any dishonoured cheque will render the customer liable to a £25 bank charge.
6. Products supplied by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies will be charged at prices ruling on the day of delivery irrespective of the day of order. VAT, where applicable, will be added at the prevailing rate.
7. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that all oil tanks will accept the full quantity of product ordered.
8. It is the customer’s responsibility for providing safe and clear access for Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies vehicles and staff. Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies shall not be liable in respect of any injury, loss or damage of any kind and how so ever arising whilst on customer’s premises.
9. The insurable risk in the goods supplied shall pass to the customer when the customer takes delivery.
10. Customers are to accept Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies measurement of quantity through duly certified metering equipment.
11. Whilst every effort will be made to deliver to the time requested by the customer, Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies reserve the right to alter any load schedules according to operational needs.
12. The receipt of goods implies customers’ acceptance of these conditions which constitute a legally binding contract with Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies.
13. Where it has not been possible to deliver the full order because the ordered volume was significantly in excess of the tank’s capacity to take the ordered volume, Semmens Oil Supplies reserves the right to amend the price per litre payable to reflect the appropriate price band for that volume of oil.
14. Due to legal conditions imposed on us by other LPG cylinder suppliers, we are only able to handle/remove LPG cylinders that are owned by Flogas ltd or any subsidiary company of Flogas Ltd.
15. In the event of a customer not requiring the LPG Cylinders on our arrival, after placing an order by phone or online, semmens fuels reserve the right to charge an aborted delivery charge of £10 per cylinder not delivered, to cover delivery expenses.
16. When a customer signs up to our LPG Cylinder check system, where we agree to automatically check if the customers needs cylinders replacing we will automatically replace any cylinders that are required. We will calculate a delivery schedule on previous usage of cylinders. The customer also needs to keep an eye on their usage incase their usage changes dramatically as semmens coal, gas & oil supplies can not allow for this change in our delivery schedule instantly. We are more than happy to come out sooner than planned if required.
Online Quote & Buy Service
1. All details are stored on a secure server and will not be passed onto Third parties
2. All prices quoted on Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies website, are only guaranteed if the ‘buy now’ option is selected and paid for by Credit/debit card. These prices are online prices only and may also vary from other prices given by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies.
3. All Bottled Gas & Coal deliveries will be completed within 5 working days (subject to adverse weather and product availability).
4. If the restricted access option is not selected when the oil order is placed and Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies are unable to complete the delivery with a standard size Oil Tanker. The customer will be contacted and a re-quote will take place at an amended Baby Tanker price.
5. Standard oil deliveries are on an up to 10 days schedule. There are other express options available for oil deliveries and these are, Express 5 Day, Express 2 Day & Next Day delivery, these options are only available on oil orders.
6. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies staff have safe access to deliver all products.
7. Club SOS
1. Club SOS is an online members club run and owned by Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies only.
2. Club SOS is an online heating oil only members club
3. Membership to Club SOS is initially free but Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies reserve the right to implement a yearly fee at any given time.
4. All Club SOS members will get a discount on their heating oil as standard against our non-members price
5. All Prices quoted to Club SOS members are only guaranteed if the ‘buy now’ option is selected and paid for by Credit/debit card.
6. If any other club SOS members place an order on the same day (Our buying days run from 00.01am to 11.59pm) all orders will be grouped together at the close of the day and the appropriate discounts will be applied the next working day.
7. If no other Club SOS members place an oil order on that day, the Club SOS member that did will not pay any more than what was originally quoted when they clicked the ‘buy now’ option.
8. Payments made for heating oil bought through Club SOS will be initially pre-authorised payments
9. Club SOS members will be notified the next working day of what their final bill will be and if any savings have been made
10. Payment of the new amended total will be processed in full the next working day after the order was placed
11. All orders placed through Club SOS will be delivered within 10 working days (subject to adverse weather and product availability). Unless any of the express delivery options are selected.
12. Club SOS members will be notified by email and/or text message when their delivery will be made.
13. Where it has not been possible to deliver the full order because the ordered volume was significantly in excess of the tank’s capacity to take the ordered volume, Semmens Oil Supplies reserves the right to amend the price per litre payable to reflect the appropriate price band for that volume of oil.

16. All Club SOS members will be automatically signed up for Semmens Coal, Gas & Oil Supplies monthly newsletter and to receive promotional emails. The newsletter is only sent once a month. There is an unsubscribe option if customers do not wish to receive the newsletter.
17. All of Semmens Coal, Gas & oil Supplies General Terms and conditions apply to Club SOS members where applicable.
18. All Club SOS members will be able to join in with other members to become part of the Semmens community, Semmens Coal, Gas & oil supplies reserve the right to withdraw any comments left by Club SOS members that are deemed offensive toward other members or Semmens Coal, Gas & oil Supplies.
